My name is Elfie Prissette, I’m a french osteopath DO member of ROE (Registro de Osteopatía de España).
I graduated from the Institut Dauphine d’Ostéopathie in Paris in 2011.
I worked in a multidisciplinary office in Paris and Buenos Aires (Argentina) and since the beginning of the year 2018 I practice here in Barcelona.
Specializing in pediatric osteopathy, I work with babies and children, but also with pregnant women, athletes, adults and the elderly.
How often should I visit an osteopath?
As a general rule, one or two sessions per year can help maintain good mobility and therefore good health.
For example: a person who has general neck pain.
It is possible that an old ankle sprain which is still unstable can create an imbalance (due to overcompensation by overusing other parts of the body) in the pelvis, back or on a weakened or overcharged area such as cervical region. This will eventually cause pain.
Through gentle techniques that are respectful of pain and adapted to each person, the osteopath will treat one by one each part of the body that may be the cause of the disorders.
Osteopathy is not only curative but can also be preventive.
Osteopathy is important at all stages of life.
