Typical session process

My name is Elfie Prissette, I’m a french osteopath DO member of ROE (Registro de Osteopatía de España).
I graduated from the Institut Dauphine d’Ostéopathie in Paris in 2011.
I worked in a multidisciplinary office in Paris and Buenos Aires (Argentina) and since the beginning of the year 2018 I practice here in Barcelona.
Specializing in pediatric osteopathy, I work with babies and children, but also with pregnant women, athletes, adults and the elderly.

A session generally lasts between 45 minutes and 1 hour.

It starts with anamnesis, a questioning that allows the osteopath to not only know the patient’s reason for consultation, but also better understand the patient’s living environment and any previous medical history.

It continues with a series of tests in order to rule out what might require treatment by a doctor, but also to appreciate the patient’s body diagram and allow implementation of the most appropriate treatment.

Finally: the treatment, with techniques adapted to each patient, will help restore balance and good mobility to the entire body.

During the tests and the treatment the patient generally wears underwear, but if the patient is uncomfortable, sportswear can also be worn (as long as the outfit allows for a large range of motion) .
