How does an osteopathy session develop?

An osteopathy session typically lasts between 45 minutes and 1 hour and is tailored to the patient's individual needs.
Each consultation is structured in three stages to ensure effective and comprehensive osteopathic treatment.

1. The Clinical Interview

The session begins with a detailed conversation, where the osteopath gathers information about the patient's reason for consultation, medical history, lifestyle, and environment.
This phase is essential for understanding the body as a whole and guiding treatment.

2. Postural Assessment and Osteopathic Testing

Various manual tests are then performed to analyze the body's mobility, tension, and imbalances.
This assessment provides extensive information about the body's structure and allows for the selection of the most appropriate techniques.
In some cases, if we consider it necessary or when it does not seem to be available to us, a referral may be made to a doctor for further testing.

3. Personalized Osteopathic Treatment

The treatment is performed using manual techniques adapted to each patient's condition and sensitivity.
The goal is to restore functional balance and improve overall body mobility, relieving pain and facilitating self-regulation.

What should I wear to a session?

Ideally, wear underwear, as this allows for a better evaluation and treatment.
However, you can also wear comfortable sportswear to the session, which does not restrict movement and facilitates the osteopath's manual work.
If you are looking for an osteopath in Barcelona who offers a comprehensive, respectful, and professional approach, I would be delighted to welcome you to my office in Sant Antoni.
